Despite the certainty and uncertainty in our lives, may I suggest we never forget one important question? Regardless of our age, education, experiences and beliefs, may I suggest one simple question? Whether we live out our dreams, or fall flat on our faces, may I suggest one significant question? If the world around us becomes our personal paradise or our personal Hell, may I suggest one everlasting question? Still we may find the way to personal Peace, Joy and Happiness or feel imprisoned by Struggle, Grief and Pain, may I still suggest one universal question? We can almost be certain we will not know or achieve everything in this cosmic mystery and yet EVEN if we could, may I still encourage one imperative question?
A question that I feel is so simple and yet so profound. One that never becomes outdated or pointless to ask. A question that we can ask ourselves no matter what we are encountering, feeling or anticipating. An ageless question that I sense only a sincere and honest individual could know the answer to. The question I suggest we ask ourselves is this. Do I Love Myself Unconditionally?
Unconditional Love for me means that no matter what I am experiencing at any time and in any situation, can I replace hate, anguish and dissatisfaction with compassion, kindness and love towards myself? No matter what! Can we further add that the degree to which we can Love ourselves unconditionally is also the degree to which we can Love another living Soul unconditionally? No matter what!!
And at the end of the day, is it not the only real outcome we can truly control and perhaps try to control in our lives? For if I feel the capacity to Love myself unconditionally, do I not give myself the Eternal Right that despite anything one individual, group or experience could say, withhold or do to me, I would still be free to remain connected to the Love that is my salvation throughout all of Life's ups and downs? When we can Love ourselves unconditionally are we not on the path to loving the World unconditionally? And when we can do that, are we not in some splendid way living out Gods Divine plan?
Still, before we can concern ourselves with Gods divine plan and what that may actually be, may I conclude by suggesting one closing question for 2008? The ultimate question is this: Do I Love Myself Unconditionally? ? I trust for everyone's sake that the answer to this question, when ever it is asked, will unconditionally be... YES!
All the very best till we Meetup again!
